The Two-Face leitmotif from Batman: TAS was so good. That's still what Two-Face fundamentally sounds like in my head.

Heck, at the current rate I might still be playing "Silksong" in 2030.

(I am Not Great at it)
Rapidly reaching a point where the only games I'll be playing from now on were ones released before 2024

New Illustration: "We Beat 'Em Before..."

Taken from a British WW2 poster, the original features a WW1 German soldier at the top. I just swapped it for the Nazi soldier it had at the bottom.

Supremacy at work: “There's no cost I can think of to employing a more accessible font—none, that is, other than the cost of acknowledging other people's stories.”
I began answering the common question "How do we stop abuse without becoming abusive ourselves?"

Point 1: "What is it about stopping abuse that you think puts us in such danger of becoming abusive that it is the first question you ask in response to the call to do so?"

Recognizing victims and villains is not creating victims and villains. A series on living in a culture of repair, against a culture of abuse.

Peter was right. I miscalculated.

I couldn't have miscalculated. It was working, wasn't it?

...Yesss. We could rebuild."

each of us contains the full genetic instructions for both testosterone & estrogen driven hormone loadouts (along with varying combos of both)

this can be changed at any time. our genes will even start expressing themselves differently within ~3-6 months.

this is an existential threat to fascists.
"current hormone loadout"
That legit makes me sound like a cyborg and I freaking dig it.

I have never heard of this game before today, but please tell me how I can buy it, because it seems clear that there is some sort of organized attempt at censorship.

Every major company needs somebody on staff as a good faith detector to read your emails.
So at this point, I am of the belief that there is a conservative group in the background emailing companies and trying to get them to ban the game.
Humble's now banned it too, post-launch:

Title of this piece: "Hope."

As I recently told @smacquignon.bsky.social (thx for the reminder, Stephen), I've been obsessed with red balloons since watching Albert Lamorisse's 1956 film, The Red Balloon, when I was a kid.

This is it. Whatever has happened to the younger generation (and I actually think there are some issues around anxiety and lack of freedom) - we have done it so them.
People are very hard on young people on here, lack of critical thinking, lack of responsibility etc, and then you see something like this and it all makes a different kind of sense.

For Transgender Day of Remembrance this year, please remember why we grieve. Our sadness is one of the most important biological adaptations that humans have evolved.

Because it drives us to seek each other out.

We mourn so we can come together and become strong again in community.

I have already had several lawyers (former and present) reach out to thank me for my bravery in writing this piece. It's astonishing that stating such an obvious truth (that the judiciary cannot avoid the prejudices of the society it operates within) requires courage at all.
"As someone working in law, it’s heresy to say this, and it might even kill my chances of a career... But as a trans person, and someone fighting for the rights of my community, I refuse to remain silent. To me it just seems obvious: a heavily prejudiced society produces prejudiced institutions."
It’s no surprise that only 31% of trans people trust a legal system built to enforce prejudice, says Jess O’Thomson.

James Watson, who used crucial research about DNA from fellow scientist Rosalind Franklin without her permission, who talked so much shit about her after she died, and who later went to claim that Black people aren't as intelligent as white people, died at 97.

There. Fixed it for you.
