2025 Pulitzer prizes include the well-deserved James by Percival Everett, a retelling of Huck Finn from the point of view of Jim. Certainly the best novel I've read recently.

Woke up thinking about the Charles Schulz character Pig-Pen. He appeared first in the Charle Brown cartoon series in 1953, lasted until 1999. (If you're not old enough to recall the series bear with me.) Always illustrated surrounded by a cloud of dirt and dust, he reminds me of someone in DC.
