I saw a new GYN doc today. And I about fell out of my seat when she offered me—a childless 30-something woman—a tubal ligation as a form of birth control if I was sure I didn’t want children.

I could have hugged her. Instead I just expressed how happy I was to hear that as an option, and she said-
