Two sources at US embassy in Rome confirmed ICE participation at the Milano-Cortina Olympic Games 2026; and said that “federal ICE agents would support diplomatic security details (Rubio and Vance) and would not run any immigration enforcement operations”. This has been also confirmed by AP.

You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.

Yet, let not this too much, my son,

This partial view of human-kind
Is surely not the last!”

On Truth Social, Trump is seriously calling this shooting a "cover up" for the fraud that the administration keeps inventing.

They will not change course. They will not admit they were wrong. They will continue doubling down until they're removed from power.

"They stayed a little back."

America is the only country that has ever called for help from NATO. NATO answered, thosuands of allied troops fought and hundreds died.

Every time he belittles this, global fury at this guy and the nation that elected him grows. Americans will not be forgiven.
Trump on NATO: "I've always said, will they be there if we ever needed them? That's really the ultimate test. I'm not sure of that. We've never needed them. They'll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan and this or that. And they did. They stayed a little back, off the front lines."

After the World Trade Center was attacked (just four miles from Trump Tower), more than 40,000 Canadians in uniform fought alongside their U.S. allies in Afghanistan.

More than 2,000 Canadians were wounded.

These 158 didn't make it home.

And now this guy is giving lectures on gratitude.

Go fuck yourself Donald
Trump: "Canada gets a lot of freebies from us. They should be grateful but they're not. He watched your prime minister yesterday. He wasn't so grateful. But they should be grateful to us. Canada. Canada lives because of the United States. Remember that, Mark, next time you make your statements"

Trump just told Davos: "after the war we gave Greenland back to Denmark."

America never had Greenland. It was governed — and defended — by the Danes and Greenlanders throughout WWII. www.bugeyedandshameless.com/p/read-the-d...

NEW: This is a REAL story in The Globe and Mail today.

Canadian Armed Forces are modelling responses to a US military invasion from the south.

They expect Canadian forces to be overrun in a fortnight, so the plan centres on Afghanistan-style insurgencies to inflict mass casualties on US troops

For me, one of the most disconcerting things is the near-total void in political engagement from vast swaths of U.S. society that have been deeply political at other times in my memory, not that long ago.

The arts. Music. Movies. TV. Pop culture. It’s by far the least political moment in my memory.

Sometimes being a community journalist is fun, seeing things and talking to people you'd never usually get to do.
And other times, you send out a dozen interview requests and the only emails you receive are generic pitches from PR companies on stories that have nothing to do with your beat.
