Hey there! 👋 I'm a #disabledartist with a passion for #horror but I also make more lighthearted stuff like #fanart. Here is a thread of art so it's easier to find! My conditions make it very difficult to create so a lot of this will be old art. Enjoy! #art #disability #horrorart #markiplier

But I feel you, I am infuriated by the constant de-platforming campaign against him and knowing how much he absolutely adores Kaya.. It breaks my heart to see what ppl are saying about him.

-but I think there has to be a super-strict link between something someone said about you and direct consequences it caused. Like if Hasan was perma-banned bc of it or someone harmed him bc of it, I think he'd have a more solid case.

I dunno, I think a judge would take one look at that Destiny death threat and easily rule in Hasan's favor. Like, that was straight-up calling for his community to hunt down and harm Hasan. I think defamation cases are a lot trickier, unfortunately. It may seem easier from the outside-

That said, if this ends up severely impacting his career/life in a lasting way, I def think he should sue.
eekah.bsky.social
As cathartic as that would be, if he hasn't taken legal action against ppl for issuing literal death threats against him, I don't think he'll sue for this.. and knowing how the internet is, it would likely only make ppl believe it and talk about it even MORE. 🫤

Continuation of alt-text from the previous screenshot in this thread:
Continuation of alt-text from the previous image in this thread: "I have worked with professional trainers who use E-collars with dog breeds that are much easier to train, and even they can’t get those results using them. Honestly, from one dog dad to another… respect on that heeling! That takes serious work that most of the people I teach don’t actually do enough of lol

Honestly, there’s a strong connection between the reasons punishment doesn’t work for training and the reasons why prisons make society LESS safe

Feel free to pin, so more people can see this. There’s enough there for the true dog nerds and clicker trainers to co-sign lol

( reposting this comment to his original response here too just to educate folks. I would drag a shitty owner any day, but the lack of dog knowledge being demonstrated among both defenders and detractors is frustrating to watch from a professional perspective. No, shock collars are not harmless, and I don’t see any signs Hasan is lying about anything)"

Screenshot of a youtube comment. User is "WaldenBurns", it reads: "I’m a professional dog trainer, and I have been working with dogs for over a decade using primarily clicker training (exclusively so since attending KPA). I haven’t been watching Hasan that long, and the video DID look pretty bad, so I needed to figure out what to believe for myself.

First off… an actual shock collar has metal prongs that dig into the thick scruff so the electrical current can arch between them. What Hasan is showing is a vibration collar. I don’t really like vibration collars for a lot of breeds, but Kaya is a livestock guardian/ mastiff (not bred to have a strong recall) and with that thick of a scruff… that’s not going to bother her at all if it’s properly trained for recalls using positive reinforcement. To her that feeling sends her a dopamine hit knowing she’s getting a treat when she gets back to Dad! The issue with those is when they are used as an aversive/ punishment or with smaller or sensitive dogs or ones with less scruff.

Second, the place command or “mat work” is crucial to training working dogs and service animals, and the behavior is always formed using positive reinforcement and allowing the dog to make choices. If that command was improperly trained using punishment we would be seeing a lot more distress and protest behaviors on a regular basis. Service dogs have to sit between their owners legs for an 8 hour flight, so Kaya is fine lol Finally: Kaya’s breed does not respond well to punishment, and her temperament is not the high strung “learned helplessness” that I see from dogs who are “well trained” using aversives like shock collars or prongs. Her breed would not be as well trained or friendly to strangers if Hasan hadn’t been putting in serious hours with her using positive reinforcement. You literally can’t get that kind of behavior out of that kind of a dog using punishment. Her breed will become shut down or violent if you try." (continued in reply)
