Oh yes: "Main Street North Brunswick" where the only entrance/exit was Rt 1 always made me laugh.
eikleinbaum.bsky.social
When I was commuting between New Brunswick and Princeton about 10 yrs ago, there was a 'Transit Village' going up on Rt 1 somewhere in North Brunswick(?) Did that ever get completed? Or did COVID kill it?

I find issues parking in locations with regular large volumes of bikes: Mill City and Kingfield farmer's markets, Lake Harriet Bandshell (music in the park). My biggest annoyance with bike parking though is that there are no racks at 50th and Penn on the side with Broder's and Fleet Feet.

I dont know if this is on the radar for others yet, but 38th is getting a full reconstruction starting in 2029. I really hope it can be made more active transportation friendly. I'll be keeping a close eye on that project.

Oh. I think you're talking about Eliot, and that's still there. 👎

Between Park and Chicago, next to Phelps Park? No stop sign there. Never has been since I've been biking that stretch.

40th is critical for my family. We've been going from Bryant to Powderhorn Park 2x a day for daycare for nearly 3 years now, and with our youngest, it could be another 3. South of the Greenway 40th is really the best east-west bikeway that gets you nearly across the city.

Pioneer Press is looking for a cargo bike family in St. Paul that’s interested in letting them take some pics/ videos of the fam doing cargo bike stuff. The writer reaching out recently had an Urban Arrow demo, but I don’t think he’s picky about what bike the fam is using. Let me know if interested.

And if you have the time or opportunity, please try to talk to your CM in person!

Tell Minneapolis City Council to Withhold Municipal Consent on Lyndale Ave
We need a design that creates safe and inviting space for everyone, whether we bike, walk, roll or take the bus!

I see more e-motos than I'd like to on Three Rivers Parks paths out in Hopkins and Eden Prairie. There is a lot of room for them to zip. My worry is that they cause issues out in the suburbs, and the state ends up changing laws that impact Minneapolis.

😁 I had my ski helmet and long underwear on. There was definitely one kid who clearly regretted his choice.

Awesome! The event last Saturday seems like it's exactly what I was thinking. How often do you do these?

As a non-babe, would i be welcome at Bus Babes? I wouldn't want to overstep.

I saw multiple kids headed to Clara Barton on bikes today with T-shirts and shorts! These kids have ice in their veins.

Oof. I would have bought that Load 75 if it was for sale at that price with those accessories in March.

Facebook Marketplace highlighting some real gems.
Artwork for sale on Facebook Marketplace is called Fish Tits. Very descriptive.

Business idea: cargo bike Uber. You need a ride somewhere - book a ride in a cargo bike. Bike shows up, you hop on and get a ride to your destination.

Fare is free, but you are required to both listen to your driver talk about their bike and ask about their accessories for the duration of the ride.

Apparently, John Clarke has been salty that he hadn't won his Nobel for decades. Also, interesting that Devoret's close collaborator Rob Schoelkoepf wasn't included.

Sounds like the Park Board is in charge of Lyndale reconstruction. Full rebuild ends with no change to surface street features.

A high-quality bike network and robust community of people who bike can help support local businesses.

I remember when selling bikes relied on recreational cyclists. Shops rarely sold bikes (unless severely marked down) this late in the season. Today is Oct 6th, but in reality it was just another Monday that we sold a couple of bikes and repaired many.

Could you tell me more? This was a group meet-up where everyone rode the bus together to go to the Weismann? Did an organization set this up?

Daily average vehicle traffic has dropped 40% on Lyndale since 2003. How can shops in the corridor expect increased business with that trend? Perhaps by welcoming the 1000 daily bikes nearby to safely use the corridor.
