The pattern was designed by a Minneapolis yarn store. All sales are going to local immigrant aid organizations. They've raised over $125,000 (!!!) since the knitting pattern was posted a few days ago.

I remained convinced that the reason people are still reluctant to call what we see fascism is because we can only visually recognize it in black and white. I hope these kind of juxtapositions would help.

2025 wasn't a good year for many reasons. It started with a wrap party for a project I was working on, not knowing what will come next when my contract at my uni was up. But it ended with having a great new job, and lots of things to look forward to. Things turn around-let's hope 2026 will be better

Great thread on Pins and Needles, the ILGWU production that is at the center of my next book. To add to Erik's, the show not only centered labor, but also provided a model on how art can have a political role in society, and how it, and especially theater, were central to the culture of unions.
