I'm getting so tired of hearing from politicians how good the people of the U.S. are. A lot of good people here to be sure. But, when so many were/are willing to vote for a moral degenerate like Trump or sat on their hands and let such an atrocity happen, how "good" as a country can we really be?

We must understand the context for all this. Trump needs Hegseth to be in exactly the position he is in now in 2026, 2027, and 2028, as it is not clear that anyone but a committed white nationalist, Christofascist militant would help Trump with the martial law he intends. So Hegseth *can't* go down.

We must understand the context for all this.
