Oh, no! Fireworks?! Poor Gilda. I'm so sorry. It's one of the few holidays we don't have people shooting them off.

It'll be my first experience of borrowing littles. I'll let you know how it goes (rubs hands together).

Thing 1 and Thing 2 will be there too. I'm sure all of the memories will come flooding back when I sneak peeks at them. It'll be fun to borrow the littles and give them back tired and sugared up.

I have a feeling it's going to be a paaarty! I will have to, at the very least, dig out my witch's hat. It's a lovely green satin with feathers and netting.

They have to sleep sometime, right? I have a big neighborhood with lots of walking and they only one that gets a ride is the baby.

I'm kind of looking forward to having littles in the house on Halloween. Maybe I can channel some of their energy. If nothing else, there's always wine in a solo cup and stealing some candy when no one's looking.

I made the muffins tonight. My chili is pretty easy. I just have to stop for toppings. I'm disappointed I have all these cool decorations and had no motivation to put them out when I have an actual audience for them. Sigh...

I just found out we're hosting 13 people tomorrow for chili, cornbread, and trick-or-treating, 5 of whom are under the age of 8. 👀

Now I feel bad for only decorating outside. (I have a case of the blahs).

What lovely memories! The food looks amazing too. Isn't it interesting the differences between your mom's tomatoes and @montisboeher.bsky.social 's? Geographically not that far apart, but traditionally very different. I love that!

It's so weird to have one. I never even had one in a baby tooth.

Aid is going to have to come from individuals which sucks because countries are much better at coordination. I hope someone else steps up to help since they can't rely on us.

Two things:

1. I have a cavity. Slow blinks...I have never had one before.

2. I'm so sad and scared for Jamaica. We honeymooned on the island years ago. The landscape is beautiful and the people are fun and insightful. They do not deserve a monster storm and the aftermath.

I'm glad you all got the chance to go and be together for a while. I'm sorry the reason was such a sad one. I hope he can find a safe place to land and I hope you all can find some peace. I'll be thinking about you.
