Apparently I missed the memo Arizona sent that says they're only offering fancy wired ribbon for sale this year. Either that or there are a lot of ribbon hoarders in my area.

I woke up to the sounds of warm weather birds. It's been in the high 70s, low 80s almost the whole month (this is not a brag for those of you experiencing awful weather). I noticed the Acacia trees are blooming. The flora and fauna seem to think it's spring and it's only December. #Arizona
The ACA deadline was 2 days ago. Now they're having a vote?! What happens to the people who dropped coverage or lowered coverage? I know you can still sign up for a Feb. 1 start, but what about Jan.? Can you change your plan back to just shitty insurance instead of shittier insurance?

I think we should lobby for smell-o-vision. Behold the annual Cabernet Blueberry Cranberry sauce. Prep is going slowly this year as I've caught some kind of ick (first time in 5-6 years). I'm not a fan of feeling icky, but I've enjoyed being able to binge 'Poirot'.

A comedy with a mystery. The whole series is laugh outloud, character driven, very unserious fun. Start with "One for the Money" and go from there. I'm behind in the series and I had forgotten how great these stories are for escaping whatever is bothering you for a bit.

A quick 24 hour turn around on traveling to the cabin to shut it down before the storms roll in with rain and possible snow.

Someone needs to explain the barrel pants trend to me. I'm all for interesting clothing lines, but why would someone want to walk around looking like they're bow legged? Hard pass.

1. I have a cavity. Slow blinks...I have never had one before.
2. I'm so sad and scared for Jamaica. We honeymooned on the island years ago. The landscape is beautiful and the people are fun and insightful. They do not deserve a monster storm and the aftermath.

Verdict? Meh...It's the first book of a new fantasy world/character by an established author. I get that she's world building which makes the plot slower, but it was both repetitive & holey. She also hasn't written another in 4 years. Borrow it, if you're interested.
