American crewed space exploration has been basically a punchline my entire life. I literally have friends working on Artemis and I still don’t quite believe on an emotional level that it’s actually happening
It's wild to me that in a few more weeks this may no longer be true. (Technically - depending how far the Artemis crew's far-side moon orbit is from Earth now compared to all the Apollo missions.)

This is a trap I see a lot of leftists fall into, right now with the Iranian and Venezuelan regimes.
A simplistic leftist analysis chooses to support whomever the US opposes.
And they end up supporting dictatorships and crimes against humanity by default.

Over the years, I’ve worked on many investigations into the IDF’s conduct in the OPT. The past two and a half years, amid genocide, have been the most intense. That’s why I can’t understand those who claim solidarity with Palestine while denying the mass violence carried out by the Iranian regime.
