My heart is heavy. This really hurts. I met my friend Drew at the 2002 launch event of "Galidor" in NY. He brought our series poster to breathtaking life. He treated me like a prince, gave wisdom, stories & I was fortunate enough to know him ever since. His talent was magic & I will miss him dearly.

Frak! I'm really happy with how I did his outfit, I couldn't decide whether to do his part 1 or 2 fit so I went with both. Personally I like how it sort of symbolizes him breaking out of the standard ninja gi into something that fits his personality more (tacticool).

I did the very first sketch for what became the #Ninjago Ras and Arin’s Super Storm Jet, it changed a lot. It was originally going to be more of a team vehicle with some command space inside and a mech that was dropped off the back. I lost the mech sadly, but it was a fun style exploration.

I’ll talk a bit about my involvement with the #Ninjago Legends: Monstrosity sets. I worked on the Fire Knight mech. Initially, it was gonna be Jay’s. I started off exploring a Ninjago mech with more of a knight aesthetic. I did a bunch of these sketches before I started building.

Here’s a look at the very first sketch model, for what became the Nya Samurai X Mech for #Ninjago Crystalized. It was way too big and ended up being switched to Nya’s mech as the writers continued to work on the story. It explored the limits of the new hip/shoulder joint we made.
