Sephiroth reached out… his fingers curled around something solid, which glowed with purple energy as the spirits swirled around his hand, infusing themselves with the invisible object and giving it form. The katana bathed Sephiroth’s face in its purple glow, and the hero’s eyes shimmered as he beheld the Masamune. Sephiroth held the blade in a defensive stance, resting the edge on his pauldron. A surge of purple light coursed along the blade, and it lengthened with unnatural speed. The impressive length seemed to suit Sephiroth; he smiled as he held the sword out at his side. “What!? It got longer!” Bachman leapt back in shock. “The spirits bestowed this gift to me,” Sephiroth stated plainly. “Such things are bound to occur.” He tested the weight of the sword in his left hand. “It could be longer,” he mused. In another flash, the sword lengthened once again. “It grew!” Alissa gasped.
