i think it'll go longer than any of us expect or want but i have always found it strange that people act like 2025 was the beginning of all of this and not 2016 - because it feels pretty clear to me that we've hit the later stages of whatever this is now

i saw this particular one organically come up from some twitch streamer i follow who never talks about politics. i knew it was almost certainly manufactured outrage, and it made me mad how much people in this ecosystems are just feeding themselves bullshit slop and making themselves more crazy

this whole ecosystem is an endless clusterfuck and circlejerk that exists to redigest itself for the lowest common denominator: it's the new reality tv, and it's impenetrable to anyone who doesn't follow these fake dramas. at least Hasan is attempting to engage with the larger world in numerous ways

i also think part of it is people in power know that they're not going to be behind any kind of material change that might affect their power negatively at this point so they're down to just get on board with this insane shitshow because they want to get what they can before it all burns down

i started a patreon out of desperation when i was going to be homeless and didn't have other avenues and spread it around on social media. i ended up finding housing and have had a fairly stable source of income from said patreon for over a decade now
