George R.R. Martin has said that if he never completes Game of Thrones sequel Winds of Winter (or the book after that), there's no plan for anyone else to step in. Instead, his Song of Ice and Fire series simply "won't be finished."

Why this still surprises me I do not know, but—separate from the constant Horrors™️—it always amazes me how impossibly angry and unhappy people on social media are. How do people carry that around all day? What a miserable way to go through life.

Mostly I just want to post about movies and anime and award shows and just generally be a little fujoshi gremlin, but man….sometimes it’s hard. I know I’m political posting into the void, but once in a while it just comes out.

Our elected officials *will* sit by while the people who have elected them continue to be murdered. They’ll treat it like another day at the office. Like if they all just draft a good bill they can all pat themselves on the backs and go on vacation (their 45th of the year).
We should not fund DHS without serious reform. We could return CBP to border. We could require warrants for immigration arrests. We could beef up training and require identification.
The list of possible reforms is long. What's unacceptable is the current lawless status quo.
