How Trump uses public displays of propaganda to wield power
Pres. Trump’s administration blurs the line between policy and propaganda by deploying state-run media, public displays, and taxpayer-funded videos in airports aimed at communicating a message of consolidated power. But historians see a crucial shift: The more aggressive he becomes, the stronger the resistance grows. Trump’s power exists only with public consent, and more Americans are refusing to give it to him.

Velshi: This is how single, small acts of courage become many, and many become unstoppable
On the day of thousands of “No Kings” rallies being held across the country, Ali Velshi taps into the history of civil disobedience in South Africa, where thousands of civilians were willingly arrested protesting apartheid. “When they try to silence you with repression, reply with more people, louder voices, undeterred steps,” Velshi said. “This is how single, small acts of courage become many.”
