My debut picture book, NO ROOM FOR BIRDS, is coming summer 2027 from Greenwillow Books!(!!!!!)

Getting to make this book still feels so special and surreal. I hope you read it and love it, especially if you’ve ever thought about how many birds in your kitchen would be truly alarming.
After three years (!) I’m working on a few new washi tape designs. First up: manuls/Pallas’s cats.

When I called my reps about this list I asked (among other things) that the language cover everyone, all immigrants, not just US citizens.

(FTR I want ICE gone forever. This is a bare start.)
SENATE AND HOUSE DEMOCRATS ARE UNITED ON REINING IN THE ABUSES OF ICE

Americans have watched in horror as ICE has terrorized communities across the country

Federal agents can’t continue to cause chaos in our cities while more Americans are killed

We must rein in ICE

Here’s what we're demanding:

Evergreen advice!

I try not to argue online, but I do love digging into very online discourse. Remembering that sometimes it’s because a teen is working out an idea is so much better than most of the other possible explanations.

I could have added something normal like “I was hoping you’d do this” (I was!) but I was very confident you’d get it without that.

Oh also this ends tonight so hop on it and I’ll only be a little mad if you outbid me.

Wildly proud to be part of this unstoppable, responsive community. And next time I hope I’ll be quick enough to offer an item for bid!

I’m taking today off from book work for today’s National Day of Action.

I have a couple hours before today’s protest at the state house, so let’s see how far I get on this piece to (hopefully, eventually) raise funds for Providence Community Libraries.

Oooh that seems intriguing! I’m a sucker for stories about stories.

I’m reading Naomi Novik’s Buried Deep right now so this feels like a good next thing.

LISTEN I totally agree and sometimes even empirically bad drawings are great, but you should also enjoy this specific poetic justice. (And also that person can kick rocks.)
