went to the local symphony holiday concert again so I'm re-upping this
btw if there is a lil symphony near you I highly, highly recommend going whenever you can. I'd wager the experience of seeing a Very Nice And Good local symphony perform is at least ten times better than listening to a recording of some Elite Orchestra, maybe more. maybe infinite
we went to a local symphony/choir concert a couple weeks ago and they did an instrumental rendition of sleigh ride that was some of the funniest shit I've ever seen. it was incredible. people were going wild for the "clop" guy

apparently a lot of the guests had not only never LARPed or tasted weird well water in a remote area but also had never camped and at least some of the complaints were just about not liking/being prepared for camping which is extremely funny
the well water was a classic "organizers have never had well water" error, they didn't flush it out before the event so it was yellow/orange-y and metallic tasting (clearing up over the course of the event), but the guests had also never had well water and were convinced they were being poisoned
sounds like there were definitely some fuckups, a few that even "this was the first year" aren't a good excuse for, but also a lot of "I was just standing around, renn faires are more fun" and "the well water tasted really weird" and like. yeah

being married to a guy, most biphobia in my life is sort of theoretical and general and solidarity-with-my-more-targeted-siblings-based, but one thing that I will admit sucks and hurts more than you'd expect is the whole "it's not appropriate for men and women to hang out one-on-one" thing.

y'all ever known a couple where one person was really tall and one was really short
this may surprise some people to think about but if we had a society where 80% of the population had ADHD and designed society around us, the normals would need accommodations bc that society would not work well for them. there is no "no one needs accommodations" classroom

since we're chatting disability accommodations in college, I got three: lower course load but still considered full-time, flexible deadlines, and extra time on tests.
(1) was helpful, though not enough to prevent me from dropping out. (2) made things MUCH worse. (3) was pointless & I never used it.
