Ive had times when I couldn’t afford my cleaner, and they’ve stuck by me, cleaning is work, and work I don’t want to do. I’ve also had times when I had work down on the house and believe me I’ve paid up.

It’s not hard. I just google each time I see a horrific offer. Full disclosure - I am very privileged and have a cleaner, they come fortnightly, have had the same cleaner who does the basics, for 15+ years now — when they started the pay was $25 an hour. It’s $60 now and that’s for the basics.

I’m truely not but these people just need to be called out. This isn’t quite as good as the full time permanent academic who wanted cleaning + childcare for $25 and hour for an ongoing basis. But close.

My fav FB group contributions at the moment are women posting into groups about men being safe to date — and the women mates of the friends posting about how lovely they are — only to be met with folks who’ve dated them saying they are jerks.
