"quietly" means the press gallery missed this, yet again, for over a month
on this logic all the alleged rapists could be sacked without notice. So as to you know cut off their income based on “serious” allegations. Oddly nobody is proposing that employed rapists be punished without a guilty plea or guilty verdict.

as Kristin and Mayi point out, the threshold for cutting off income is not the weight of evidence but “seriousness” of the allegation. Meanwhile, state governments increase penalties to move more and more charges into the “serious” (usually 5 or more years max imprisonment) category.

predictive text at scale is how I explain it to first year students. Scraping primarily Wikipedia and reddit, apparently. So for uni students doing assessments based on peer reviewed research and text books, enshittification is the only possible outcome.
