I keep thinking British people I follow are doing weirdly passive-aggressive subtweets, and then I remember it’s actually named “Your Party”.

When I got one in 2015, everyone thought that it was setting me up so well, and I think that's right about when it permanently stopped being a stepping stone for all but some very specific cases and institutions.

I think I’ve figured it out: Twitter is full of incredibly ignorant jerks who all think they’re the world’s greatest genius. Whereas Bluesky is mostly smart, well-informed people who all think they’re the world’s greatest genius.
