I think in general, the “don’t use these words” stuff is best understood as “don’t work with or listen to the groups of people who typically use these words.” That’s the real concern.

You def know more about this than me, but I recently had the realization that a lot of disagreements we have about what the Revolution meant were already disagreements while it was going on, among the participants in it. Which helps me, at least, not to be too dogmatic about it.
