Get your flu vaccines, people.
If you're in the UK you can get the vaccine at most pharmacies (in Tesco it's about £16) or check here to see if you're eligible for a free one: www.nhs.uk/vaccinations...

Hello from the bus stop, which I am somehow at, 7 minutes early despite waking up 30 minutes late.
Hoping your Friday is similarly rescued.

(Wait for me to discover I've forgotten my work pass, only put mascara on one eye, and the bus doesn't turn up.)

Almost just had the librarian equivalent of 'is there a doctor on board?'.
Public library at closing time; staff all busy. I'm about to pack my study things away when a teen approaches. I thought: 'he's sensed an undercover librarian! He needs help with a reference!', but no...

I just got an email asking for feedback about my customer experience, which ended with another survey asking how satisfied I was with the email itself. 🤦🏻‍♀️

If we could just calm down with the rampant data harvesting, that would be great.

I made my students a little “book” (just using Google slides) to show them how you all answered my question about how you take notes for research. Just to show the variety.
How Do Scholars Take Notes?
How do scholars take notes? I like seeing examples of different people’s notetaking, so I asked scholars to show me how they take notes for research.

I re-visited Hillsborough for the first time in years on Thursday. Having only been there on matchdays before it was weird to see it so empty. I'm regretting not staying on for the Oxford game today. If you're in row 13 seat 130 of the Kop (my former seat) yell extra loud for me. #WAWAW

Seven free multi-seat study tables free in the library (one single seat table is occupied) and two blokes randomly sit immediately opposite and next to me. 🤦🏻‍♀️

YOU HAD THE WHOLE STUDY AREA GUYS.

More and more of my time is wasted double-checking non-existent references, it's infuriating.
“These companies all advertise these tools as knowing your intent,” Taylor told 404 Media. “Understanding what you meant when you put those terms in. They don’t know. They don’t understand. None of those things are true. There is no technical way these tools can do that.”

This time last year I was titting about in a bonnet at the Jane Austen festival.
I hope everyone taking part this year has a marvellous time 😊
I had the best time at the #JaneAustenFestival today. Loads of fun dressing up, met lots of friendly, interesting people and generally felt like a celebrity. 😊
