Stardew Valley: Symphony of the Seasons was really great. Also the only show I've taken Trogdor to where he watched the whole thing happily without asking to leave early.

The couple in front of us wiped tears from each other's eyes and kissed a lot. That's...a lot for a game. But it was sweet.

Job occupations, from an 1881 census. Every one of these sounds like something a sorely provoked Captain Haddock would should at someone in times of heavy stress.

I picked up breakfast and wasn't expecting much

This is my "yogurt parfait" that cost less than a shitty sandwich I got at the gas station in the USA recently

Lol, lmao, we're so screwed
Unexpectedly extravagant and huge yogurt parfait

This isn't even great stuff! But that's how much you can't get interesting food in Vermont lol

You can't get shawarma like this in Vermont.

Also this cost about the same as a 1/4 lb burger and Sysco potato chips I had last week

I've had it in the last few years and it is a LOT!! Not bad though

I've always wanted to try them! I am in Quebec, so there's more like pudding chomeur and such but I am always on the lookout

Canada, I am in you!

This is my first overnight away from Burninator, and I'm a bit of a fucking mess about it, but I'm looking forward to a couple of days of hopefully not hearing or thinking about Miss Rachel or Trump, and eating as much food that I can't get at home as I can.

Yup definitely a lot of shared culture here. Vermont is derived from vert montagnes after all! We don't have too many quebecoise dishes, but that one is fairly common. Poutine is ubiquitous as well.

Thanks for the tips! I live not far away in Vermont so we have toirtiere here too! It's delicious. Been a long time since I had butter tarts. Am planning on a lot of pastries.

Thank you for the tips, Ki!

So apparently I will be in Montreal during Canadian Thanksgiving, and I have absolutely no idea what that actually means and how it might affect our visit.

Canadians, help me??

Also my counters are not filthy, they are textures to look like dappled leather for some fucking reason. You wouldn't believe how much time I spend washing the wrinkles in it omfg

As I walked around my house today, I idly fantasized about a world with no dust.

I think I just gained a level in SAHM

My brain is slowly turning into a washrag
