I’m sorry, I’m enjoying the games again, but going from 3 games at $60 to 2 games at $80 is textbook shrinkflation. I don’t care they’re my favourite games ever.

They’re cheaper down here, but I still had to split the bill with my uncle. Haven’t had to do that in years.

I think you’ve done a good job over the years of giving every member of the family (except Maggie) an equal level of focus. I’ve never liked “the Homer show” or “the Bart show” narratives myself, and I guess an aversion to any Lisa focus can come out of those.

Artwork used internally at DIC Entertainment during the production of the Super Mario World cartoon, replacing Marge Simpson with Mario. According to a former DIC employee, this was made due to an inside joke at the studio, though the exact nature of the joke has been lost.

I’ll be incredibly surprised if John Swartzwelder, Jon Vitti and George Meyer return as writers. The first movie was their last fling with The Simpsons, and no matter what you think of that movie, their contributions helped give it some credence as a canon part of the series.

I’ll be very surprised if they bring back Russ Cargill, Harry Plopper and all that stuff. This could be like the SpongeBob sequels where they go on an unrelated (albeit similarly structured) adventure. I could be wrong though.

I think they picked them out by splitting the show up into 2-season chunks, which is why Poochie is 2 years early. They probably just thought “Season 7-8 were written in 1995 & 1996” unaccounting for the individual episodes’ airdates.

Down where I live, the Super Mario Galaxy re-releases are retailing for a high price, but it’s not completely out of reason for 2 of the best games ever. Looks higher, but as you can see, our dollar is way lower than in Burgerville. I think this is a tariff thing.

Super Mario 64 released in 1996, and Super Mario Oddysey released 21 years later, bringing back the sandbox style 3D platforming environments and Peach’s Castle.

Super Mario World introduced the Star World in 1990/1. New Mario U brought it back in 2012, and 3D World put the “World” back in the title in 2013.

Super Mario Land released on Game Boy in 1989. and Super Mario Bros. 3 gave us the Tanooki Suit around the same time (a year earlier in Japan, a year later in the States). 21-23 years later, Tanooki Suits and portables with “Land” in the title were back in style.
