On the morning of day 2 at #CITESCoP20, Committee I considered how to move forward on #songbird trade and conservation management, a set of species that has been historically underrepresented in CITES Appendices, as several delegates highlighted.

In opening remarks, Aziz Abdukhakimov, Advisor to the President of #Uzbekistan on Environment, said that #CITESCoP20 represents a historic milestone not only for Uzbekistan, but for the entire Central Asian region, and called for the integration of AI into wildlife conservation efforts.
