This kind of flies in the face of the idea that if people are on “welfare” and just their basic needs are met that they will stop trying to work hard. These folks have more money than most of us can imagine and they sure are working hard to scam the rest of us so they can have even more.

Some say the collapse of our democracy began when the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Citizens United. Now, in our political system, money speaks louder than people.

This SEPTA “solution” is a failure from the governor and state legislature. The long-term solution to fund SEPTA and expand public transit across PA, is to tax skills games, stop subsidizing horse racing, and tax the rich. The revenue sources are obvious to those of us not bought off by lobbyists.
