We join the world in remembering renowned conservationist Jane Goodall. Along with her passion for chimpanzees & the environment, Jane was also a supporter of polio eradication. In 2010, Jane joined Rotary's "This Close" #EndPolio campaign. Our thoughts are with all who knew her.

Thanks to the dedication of polio workers and the lifesaving vaccine nOPV2, variant polio cases dropped by over 75% since 2020. But the fight isn’t over – every child needs protection. Let’s reach every child to #EndPolio everywhere.

In April 2025, ten Rotary members from France🇫🇷 and Belgium🇧🇪 saw firsthand the strong commitment of the frontline health workers in Pakistan where they participated in a large-scale polio immunization campaign.

The partnership between Rotary and @who.int goes back since 1988. In fact, Rotary were the pathfinders in first proposing the #EndPolio idea – inspired by the historic eradication of smallpox.

And today, we are on the cusp of history, despite the setbacks.
