After spending the evening with friends in the Pays Basque, Mrs E and I have nipped over the border into Spain for lunch.
Of course it would be cheeky not to buy a case of champagne and Mrs E is checking out shoe shops.

After a very hard night, I’ve just come back from the vets.
We said goodbye to Baxter, 4 months short of his 14th birthday. My two other dogs could sense something was afoot and are very subdued. I held him and kissed his nose right to the very end.
He was a good boy, he’ll he missed.

Hmmmmm. It might be a long night here. My 13.5 year old labrador is not too good. He’s been losing weight and mobility lately and has taken a downturn in the last few weeks.

One good point to come out of Russia ramping up their rhetoric against the west, is that we’ll finally get to see Farage “don khaki, pick up a rifle and head for the front lines” as he once stated. (Admittedly he was talking about Brexit but I’m sure he’s still up for it)
