It's not a new observation at this point but that wild Noem/Lewandowski story in WSJ really brings home the extent to which all the Trump 2 cabinet-level goblins see their jobs as flying private, doing short-form video, and screaming at underlings. They all hate each other and none of them can read.

Disabled people are part of the future.
We must and should imagine and dream of futures where disabled people don't just exist but are everywhere, as we should be.
This need to fix/cure all disability is a eugenicist dreaming, and we should want better for ourselves.
I have a friend who said, of Starfleet Academy, that this took them out of it - that seeing a person in a wheelchair in the 32nd century seemed unrealistic, since medicine in Star Trek "should be able to cure whatever was wrong with them."

That's not the case, for any number of possible reasons.

Happy 25th anniversary to Disney California Adventure! This park's strange beginning is what made me fall in love with it so much. I wanted to pay homage to what once was for such a milestone anniversary, so here is my own take on the old Condor Flats logo!

French novelist Jules Verne was born #onthisday in 1828. His fantastic tales of voyage and adventure have lent themselves to many wonderful illustrations but perhaps none so captivating as those by Émile-Antoine Bayard for Around the Moon (1870) — publicdomainreview.org/collection/e... #otd

I was a bit worried that the Lorcana integration would make the energy of Festival of the Arts crazier, but really enjoyed the way they combined the two. It's very fun and works perfectly with the festival!

THE MUPPET SHOW was pretty much perfect and if they don't make a bunch of more episodes now, it'll be a crime. Thank you so much for finally doing what we've all wanted since forever!
