Obfuscating means of accountability, extracting work, all in the name of 'democratising' knowledge. At every level this infrastructure has been built with clear political outcomes if not aims.

Really think this article in @jacobinmag.bsky.social is so off the mark. People trust Stevenson (and Rashford etc) because they don't pretend to do 'pure work'. Putting pressure on trustifarians, not salaries, is surely where we need to be. jacobin.com/2025/03/gary...
