fiction is a safe space to think of unsafe things

if you feel it's messing you up, step away. don't assume it's messing everyone up and you need to eradicate it because you caught a case of the feel-bads from something. go sit with that and think about why instead of pissing in everyone else's cheerios.

I know that well as a writer, working on a whole book with low to 0 feedback can be really hard on your motivation.
So, yes, when you publish a mod and it doesn't perform well, you WILL feel down. The solution isn't to be less involved, it's to learn how to deal with those emotions.

That's the kind of advice that's only good on paper. When you share something with the world, you can't not be disappointed there's no interaction, and the harder you worked on it, the harder it'll be to stomach.

Must all nsfw art come with the warning "all characters are consenting and animals are people in costumes" like a certain game?
