Here's a protip for making monochrome comics. When you have to do a scene of a character in the dark, use halftones and only leave the eyes untouched.

Here's some fun animation history trivia, the world's first ever toy-based cartoon was 'Hot Wheels'. Based on the Mattel toy of the same name, it ran for two seasons from 1969 through 1971 on ABC.

If modern animation uses 2D rig animation, I remember that Victor Ebner's language classes had a particular animation that uses 2D characters as puppets, there is a weird feeling that digital could not replicate.

Yep. It's officially out there, naked and shivering.
The animation studio I had worked at for over 20 years is now completely shut down.
Reason : floundering animation market, and dire mismanagement.
I'm at another studio now but this still deeply saddens and worries me for the future of animation.
