Walking downtown this morning, saw a guy driving a cybertruck with a captain's hat on the dash, confirming every stereotype about cybertruck drivers, and OH a woman near Smith talking at length to companions about the butter from Trader Joe's that she put on her toast. Multitudes!

I keep getting stuck on what happens to those people when the regime falls. They would rightly be pariahs, but are there too many of them? Are they imprisoned? Deprogrammed? Allowed to simply rejoin society like so many Gestapo agents did after WWII?
