This is so crazy because there are so many talented journalists out there who will do the work for very little pay (unfortunately). It's such a weird scam, but also another sign that AI as it exists now is not targeted in the right direction.

I would get rid of editorials altogether, but it you're going to insist on writing them, maybe move beyond pet peeves.
At this point, the Washpost edit page is just trolling its readers.

This is today's actual house editorial.

I'm old enough to remember when Republicans got very upset about DOJ investigating lawmakers. I think it was as long ago as last week?

In college I wrote a piece called "Up Yours Star Wars," which I still stand by, with honorable exception of Andor.
There are two great SW movies (1 and 2 here) and one great show ("Andor"). The rest ranges from fun slop to awful slop.
haven’t seen ROS or Solo but this seems like a pretty ball-knowing list from Pritzker, particularly if he volunteered the name “Star Wars” rather than “A New Hope”

I was in the UK, a few miles from Monmouth, when this happened and it was all over the national news that day with reporters/cameras on the scene.
On the frontline of a deluge on the Welsh borders, @juderogers.bsky.social heard local stories of devastation and heroism – but incredibly, the disaster was barely referred to in Westminster and the national press

It's a little odd that over the weekend the president posted a misleading reference to a Supreme Court decision from months ago that didn't do what the post says it did.

Is it an illegal order if you order an investigation into someone who says that the military should not obey illegal orders?

The ultimate betrayal in a "journalism" power couple I guess: "her recklessness detonated my relationship with a good source in a key state""

Today, Supreme Court justices discuss in private whether to take up cases on Trump's bid to curtail birthright citizenship -- on the merits this time.

Probably won't be any immediate action, but seems likely the court will hear the cases this term with a ruling by the end of June.
