I don’t expect changes to venues or anything for me alone, just asking folks to consider allergens and that it’s not always just safe squeaky rubber fun for everyone.

Latex is an allergy that can worsen or develop with exposure and it’s just hard to avoid but i do my best to mask up and stuff.

The way i approach is “hi! I love your look! Unfortunately, I’m super allergic but I will love you from afar, please be mindful and don’t handle too many toys, one of my other associates would be happy to assist you!”

And still, had some hella rude experiences. Most though are super nice/respectful

Nah, I’ve just not been able to get anywhere close to latex stuff cause my throat closes and I have extreme allergies and people have straight up said when I’m vending and they come into my booth “if you can’t be around then don’t come.”

Mind you, latex allergies are one of the most common.
