Thank goodness for this electric blanket. I can feel my toes for the first time today.

I had hoped that my congestion and such this morning was just the weather change, but my symptoms are getting worse. I do not have time for a cold in this last week of work!

My space heater and I are in a socially distanced cuddle this morning
Cuddle approved:
- Pets
- Stuffies
- Your significant other

Cuddle unapproved:
- Space heaters

Space heaters need space. Keep flammable items (blankets, pillows, curtains, yourself) at least 3 feet away from space heaters at all times.

This is happening in front of me, and I'm tempted to offer to help, but that also feels a bit too personal with a random stranger. 😬

The Saints tend to play better when I don't watch, so I'll try not to pay much attention.

Waiting on the streetcar for the 1st time in years. Just how reliable is the app these days?

Enjoyed a long afternoon walk to and through the houses on the PRC Holiday Home tour.

Y'all, my new radiologist cleared me for a full year until my next mammogram. This is a first!

Thank goodness it is Friday because I have really had it with this week at work.

#nola who has a plumber they trust and who could handle what may be a big job? The city still hasn't sent out a camera, and we're having more problems. Want some additional opinions.

I hate when doctor's offices ask you to pre-pay anything that isn't a copay. There is too much variability in what happens at an appointment or what my insurance may/may not cover. Just bill me an exact amount after. Don't ask me to give you some estimated amount of my money before you even see me.

I love being back in earshot of church bells (even the ones that run 10 min late)

I rushed to the office this morning stopping at the store along the way to pick up treats for an in-person meeting I carefully planned for my team (and scheduled over a month ago). Half the attendees aren't coming, so I am now trying to reschedule and am annoyed that I wasted time and money

Sorry to have missed the holiday tweetup #nolasky. If the weather had been dry yesterday, we would have had the shed done aleady and made it over. Hope it was a blast!

My husband and I are building a shed today. Pray for us that we don't kill each other.
December 7, 2025 at 3:55 PM
Shed building is on a weather delay, so we're installing kitchen cabinet hardware.

Good morning. Is the sun ever going to return? At least I have Santa's pants to cheer up the gloom.

Since when did Teams start requiring captchas? I am not a robot, but this stupid software certainly doesn't help me feel like less of one at work.

And yet there seem to be more and more hotels in development. 🙄
New Orleans’ hotel market is hurting, with the Virgin Hotels New Orleans selling for roughly half its construction cost and investors facing a wipeout. A string of major hotels are hitting the market at deep discounts as high costs, weak recovery and interest rates squeeze owners.

Sharing in case it helps others save $: My car registration was up for renewal. I got a notification saying I could renew in the LA Wallet app. Don't do that. They charge a $23 fee. The OMV website charges a $3 fee. (I expect there is a mailed check option, too, but our mails is screwy rn).

I was mid Teams call with my boss when a shutter slammed in that initial line of the storm. Scared the crap out of me. Fun new house things! (*adds shutter dogs to growing list of things needed for said house) 😬
