Feeling really demoralized this week both personally and professionally. I'm hoping a glass of wine with a good friend this evening helps as I am far from feeling festive for Carnival right now.

I hope other US producers don't follow suit. I have several recipes that rely on frozen concentrate and wouldn't easily translate to the fresh stuff.
I learned two important pieces of news in this post: 1) Frozen OJ from concentrate as a product is being discontinued by major producers. 2) Beverage analysts refer to market share as “share of throat.” And I think that’s just lovely. [cbc.ca]

Attention, lemonade stand vendors: You'll have to squeeze the fresh stuff this summer. Minute Maid is discontinuing its line of frozen juices as consumers turn to healthier beverages, and it was potentially the last company selling the concentrated cans in the Canadian market.

I realize this is low on the importance scale, but I asked my husband to plan my birthday dinner for this weekend due to him riding on the day. I asked 3+ weeks ago. He forgot. I reminded him. He waited until last min and then made a reservation somewhere I'm not at all excited about.

My cat is defective when it comes to space heaters. He's so suspicious and sits across the room instead of indulging in the warmth. (It's very quiet, so not the noise) His loss!

Yesterday UPS delivered a package for someone who no longer lives here. I've gotten lots of wrong mail for the previous resident, but a package is a new one! Called customer service, and they are sending someone tomorrow to come pick it back up. People, set up a forwarding address!

Went to Snake and Jake's tonight, and I'm not sure what I enjoyed more: the far from mainstream 90s playlist (more Enigma in one week?!) or the weird looks from the young kids at our group of over 45 year olds out having a good time on a Tuesday.
