Most of these Trumpian accusations hurled at Jack Smith are premised on the late filing of charges in the case, which they claim was done to impede Trump politically rather than for investigatory reasons. They also claim the late filing shows a lack of interest by Garland, which is ironically true.

Even the strategy itself seems inexplicable. Jeffries (at least in this reporting) seems to be saying that voting against continued full DHS funding - in a standalone bill that actually would have only symbolic effect - could jeopardize Democratic incumbents in swing districts. Is that true?

The US Circuit Court for the 8th Circuit hath wrought this by unleashing Bovino, without explanation, from the modest restraints imposed by the Minnesota trial judge.

Gandalf: Breathe the free air again, my friend. Your fingers would remember their old strength better — if they grasped your sword.
“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo. "So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

Democrats balk at impeachment even in the face of blatant illegality and corruption while Trump lackeys controlling government jump at it to demonstrate contempt for the rule of law.
Speaker Mike Johnson now supports the push inside his party to bring impeachment articles against judges perceived as antagonistic of President Donald Trump’s agenda, a notable shift for the Louisiana Republican.

All due respect to Michael Cohen who paid his dues but he continues to facilely assume the actual guilt and ease of proving guilt against Comey, James and Trump's political enemies, even saying their conduct is equivalent to Trump's criminal conviction. Dangerous misinformation.

Great that Newsom is at Davos to counter Trump. He should not be the only elected US official doing this.

Until now, every fatal shooting by a federal law enforcement officer has been investigated by DOJ. DOJ has decided to stop that practice with this shooting. They have presumptively deemed the shooting appropriate.

Typically when this Supreme Court sits on a case this long that would curtail an abuse of Trump's power, it has been a deliberate decision. The public has learned this through reporting on the Court's processes. There are at least some Justices trying to bolster him.
It’s time for the Supreme Court to finally issue a ruling on tariffs. The Court has already recognized that tariffs function as a tax on the American people. A president cannot unilaterally impose new taxes on American citizens that power belongs to Congress alone.
