This is a pet peeve of mine...along with someone moving into the left lane to *pass* & then slowing down until they're traveling roughly one mph faster than the vehicle they're passing, ensuring a slow torturous attempt to *overtake* the slower vehicle, then speeding up immediately after passing it.

here, it is called the passing lane, and legally you can only drive in it for up to 50 metres, to pass a vehicle. However, drivers call it the “fast lane” and camp out in it the entire time. There is usually more traffic in that lane. Just me and one other guy with a trailer in the right lane.
