Ughhh! Not only do I still want to see Wicked for Good, I want to see Hamnet so badly, too!! I hope it’s good? Anyone see? I don’t have anyone to see the latter with though my daughter would go to Wicked, just need to make time to get to it when she can, too. 🥰

The snow and trees today on the drive over to work on some writing and editing at a local cafe. ❄️🥶🪾

The other day I had been wishing for hot chocolate and/or coffee at the library! And Monday, I found one that has a machine for both! I had a mokkacino, which I found out was a cafe mocha. So cool! 😅📚☕️

#HorrorWritersChat Q1

I’m Erin and I’ve been reading, writing, and editing horror of all types for decades. I love writing dark poetry and short stories the most, and I lean toward the Gothic and domestic horror as well as creatures and fairy tale.

It’s nice to have this community. RIP Matt. 🕯️
#HorrorWritersChat Q1
Thanks for attending our gathering today.

First, introduce yourself & share the horror subgenres you write.

Then, please share a happy memory you have of Matt OR a happy memory of being part of this community he started.

If the feelings are too raw right now, post a candle 🕯️

Horror means safety. It means vulnerability and openness. It’s curiosity and facing fears. It’s a friend.
#HorrorWritersChat Q2
This is one of Matt’s favourite questions to ask us:

What does horror mean to you?

Working on some of my own writing tonight after finishing some editing work. After all these years, writing is a flame that sits in my belly. It gives me passion and hope. I feel alive because of it. Can’t wait to dive in!

A snowy day in working on book business stuff & editing for a book client. Lots of work on my own Hook of a Book site, too, & organizing plans for it, plus sharing a new post. Also, writing & sharing a small book review for a pleasure read. I’m done for the day! 🙌🏼

Though this holiday isn’t a celebration to me, & it’s complex & we’re on stolen land, I do enjoy being with family & centering on what I’m grateful for. I hope people take a chance to educate themselves, but also can enjoy restful days with loved ones. Grateful for the art & writing commmunities! 💛

I love watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade every year! What has been your fave float or balloon so far? I loved the Snoopy balloon and the TMNT float with Busta Rhymes. lol! 🎈

Pies are ready and all the prep! Looking forward to watching the Macy’s day parade in the morning after my daughter runs the local Turkey Trot 5k and making dinner later to eat and hang out with my family. So grateful for them.

I’m out on this 50F sunny Sunday (won’t last) for errands and a nature fall walk!! Then, I’m planning on getting lunch, coffee, & working on putting together my long waiting poetry for new collections and editing them. This little one this morning said, “no, you can’t go without me!”

After thrifting, we ate at Choolah (I had Paneer!), stopped by B&N, and checked out Christmas trees and decor in a few areas/towns! 🎄😍

I’m getting in the spirit! Anyone else? ✨
