Y'all...in our house we are joking that if we won Powerball we'd take over the estate/3* hotel up the road from the inlaws and questioning if an American running the kitchen would shock Brits more, or if me swearing in British & kicking out people would (a recent review read poorly on the customer)

It was another pantry/freezer dinner for reasons (aka short patience and a desire to not be arrested) so...chipotle mojo grilled chicken thighs, black beans, and plantains were served for dinner.

I'm gonna feel like an old but...people, your "crispy tacos" trend isn't a taco anymore, it's just a quesadilla. Just admit you like your melty cheese and make sure there's a veggie somewhere in there for your health.

Ahh, we've reached the point where the city reuses the emails from last week about trash pickup delays due to the snow except...replacing the dates only works if the email doesn't mention specific days of the week as well.

Y'all....it was below freezing at afternoon/evening walkies time and Freya knows I am the human responsible for her wearing a teddy bear themed snood (though I did not put it on her) and she is _not_ pleased. But really, I don't need her ears to crack and then bleed 🤨

Last night I did not make the lamb loin roast of yumminess because...we ate lunch later than 2pm and weren't very hungry at dinner. I am however making it for tonight's dinner and...yeah, it smells good.

Popped outside to harvest some italian parsley from the front yard as it's snowing, and wow, that had a good layer of ice on it.
(also: what the heck, I still have a winter garden as there are also salad and Chinese winter radishes, turnips, leeks, radicchio, chard, and beets out there)

Since we got fresh bird seed yesterday and it's snowing, we just put up the bird feeder. Now we see how many hours it takes for disgruntled mini dinosaurs to appear in the yard.

Oof, perhaps closing schools was the right call even if the transition to snow was after "sunrise", the rain and then snow has made our porch good and slippery.

I am at a Christmas party at the Darden School at UVA and how they haven't gotten in deep 💩for ADA violation with all the ankle breaking etc potential with construction I do not know.

For the Charlottesville people waiting for the snowflakes to end before shovelling: the accumulation has become very wet, sloppy, and...heart attack-y. Best to rely on the plow/pushing method of snow clearing, not the throwing.
