During a military-style raid on a building in Chicago’s South Shore, one resident heard a knock on his door.   It wasn’t the feds — it was a mom and her 7-year-old daughter, pleading for help.

TOMORROW NIGHT! Opening gala at These Days in DTLA: "Survival Mode | Sufrir es el Destino," a group show featuring works by Eduardo Soto, Abraham Garcia, and Cesar Massturd. Artists' reception runs from 7-9 pm at 118 Winston St., 2nd Floor, Los Angeles CA 90013. Exhibit runs until November 8.
