Definitely the most surprised I've been upon acquiring a powder X-ray diffraction pattern, and then looking at the beatiful crystals in an electron microscope! 🔍💎

Yeah, anytime I "need" to work with such poor data I would also do a refinement against PXRD, and show raw structure solutions, reconstructed reciprocal space of ED data (space group assignment) etc., as some form of due diligence.
