It's true! I did ONE (1) In-Person meetup to provide whistles to someone who requested them through the linktree email. She told me about an upcoming protest to protect trans kids access to their hormones/treatments. It was down the street so I went. I met leaders in 3 other organizations.
It's a side effect, but I'm seeing printing whistles act as a useful on-ramp for a lot of folks who are pretty new to engaging in political activity other than voting and yelling at the news.
I think people often wonder this, and it's a great question, so let me explain the advantages of 3D printing whistles. There are many.

Whenever my tripawd boy dangles or otherwise displays his lone back leg, I cannot resist grabbing it. I also steal the other one's paws and tail, he is very tolerant of my nonsense (except when he isn't)

Oh my God I hate the robot answering machines at stores. I am on Prozac and Adderall prescriptions and have been for many years. Starting about 6 months ago every time I would pick up these prescriptions they would call the on shift head pharmacist over to ask me if either was a new prescription.

Okay so the theatre where I used to regularly watch Rocky Horror had a shadow cast and Rules. They also had enough regulars (of which I became one) that The Rules™️ *also* had callouts. One of the rules was "you break it you bought it". To which the response was "Huge Porn!"
