Could someone with the legal knowledge explain to us outside of Minneapolis, what triggering the insurrection act would mean for us? I know when it was used in LA in 1992 it had no effect on Americans outside the city. How can this be different in its worst case scenario?

While they did expand for a short time in Louisiana, it was very targeted, with cooperation from local and state police, and nothing like what we are seeing in Chicago and Minneapolis.
