I am deeply grateful to the organising tram of the 7th EFACIS International PhD Conference, hosted at Charles University, Prague, last week.
It is always a privilege to come together with the community of scholars in Irish Studies.
My sincere thanks, and I look forward to our next meeting ☘️

In less than two weeks, I'll be hosting this @researchireland.ie New Foundations event @chesterbeatty.bsky.social and @dublincityuni.bsky.social! Very much looking forward to working with a fab team on ideas about 'home' and the late antique artefacts in Beatty's collections!

Feeling grateful for Lecturer Peter Gardner to have written what I personally consider a brilliant work on the question of Ulster-Scots identity and dignity in today’s Northern Ireland, drawing parallels with global examples.
Very stimulating reading which I 100% recommend 📚🕯️

My parents are from the North, my Dad also taught me the "slang" they used, but without realising himself it was Ulster Scots. I aced some language quiz on it purely from the stuff he used to say.
