In the past 4 weeks in Chicago, ICE/CBP have snatched hundreds of people off the streets & homes, shot & killed a single-father in his car, smashed & abandoned countless cars, and deployed chemical munitions at protesters, journalists, & now on public streets. Today they cuffed an alderperson.

During the raid, Israeli forces attacked volunteers with water cannons and doused them with “skunk water.”

Deanna Vandiver (she/they), of Ever Unfolding and an affiliated Community Minster of Love and Liberation with the Church of the Larger Fellowship Unitarian Universalist, was a lay leader (ye olde board president) of FUUNO during the Federal Flood of 2005 and Hurricane Katrina and was ordained as a UU minister by all three congregational members of GNOUU - Greater New Orleans Unitarian Universalists - in 2012.

Our Worthy Now ministry now serves over 2000 incarcerated Unitarian Universalists. As hard as prisons try to isolate and dehumanize, we try harder to connect. As hard as prisons try to convince people they're not worthy of love, we try harder to teach people otherwise.
