🚨 Private tech, public health — what’s really going on?

EveryDoctor's research raises serious questions about the growing influence of tech giants and private-health actors on our NHS.

We believe healthcare should be for people, not profit.

One of the arguments for PFI: the private sector would deliver better quality hospitals. The reality? A litany of dangerous failures. 🏥⚠️

Swipe through the evidence ⬅️

Now they want to try again with 250 new centres.

💰One of the biggest problems with PFI? Following the money.

Contracts change hands. Investors come and go. Money disappears into complex corporate structures.

The public funds it. But who's profiting?

🚨 It’s official: the govt announced new private partnerships to fund their 250 health centres.

They say they've learnt their lesson from PFI. We're not convinced. 🤨

So we're going to keep investigating🔍

Let's hold them accountable together 👉 bit.ly/NHSandBudget

The NHS asked for support.
The public asked for transparency.
Nobody asked for PFI.

Yesterday's budget brought it back anyway.

So who did ask? 🧵

Although you'd be forgiven for having missed it - yesterday's budget confirmed it: private partnerships are back to fund NHS projects.🚨

So who DID ask for PFI to come back? While 69 NHS trusts still owe £21bn on old PFI contracts?

👉 everydoctor.org.uk/talking-poin...
November 27, 2025 at 6:50 PM
💷 In the last 5 years, NHS trusts spent £3.1bn through PFI contracts:£1.2bn in debt + £1.8bn in interest.

That £1.8bn could fund 50,000 new doctors’ starting salaries, or cover £2.7bn in urgent NHS repairs.

💔 Every pound spent on PFI debt is a pound not spent on NHS, staff or patients.
November 27, 2025 at 12:57 PM
PFI didn’t just burden NHS trusts with huge debt, it trapped them in decades of overpriced maintenance contracts.

One trust was charged + £300 to change a lightbulb. Outrageous.

And now the gov is exploring PFI-style schemes again. Fight back with us: bit.ly/NHSandBudget
November 27, 2025 at 8:42 AM
😡 After the total failure of PFI in the NHS last time, the government is exploring it again!!

We can’t let history repeat itself. Here’s why PFI was abandoned — and why t’s a huge risk:

One sentence.

That’s all the NHS got in Reeves’ Autumn Budget speech — with essentially no detail on the govt’s plan to use private partnerships to fund 250 neighbourhood health centres.

With the future of our health service at stake, the public deserves clarity, transparency, and real answers.

🎥 Dr Julia Patterson lays it out clearly:

£21 BILLION already owed. And now talk of bringing back PFI-style schemes?! 🤯💥

We’re digging for answers. Is this new plan genuinely different — or are we repeating a colossal mistake?

🚨The FT’s latest piece quotes the Chair of the AIIP — described as just a “trade body.”

But our research shows they've lobbied for PFI-style models before.🫨

Asking enthusiastic supporters if the plan is good? Feels… off.

Just a tiny snapshot of the countless articles exposing how disastrous PFI was…It was universally recognised as a failure. 🚫💸

So why — WHY — is a similar scheme being opened up again just 7 years later?!

We want answers from our politicians. Now.

🚨 PFI was scrapped for a reason. Yet tomorrow's budget may confirm the revival of private partnerships in the NHS.

The evidence is damning:
💷 Cost taxpayers billions
🏥Hospitals too small with dangerous flaws
⚠️Public left with risk

Here's more on why PFI failed👇

🚨 The verdict is in: Labour plans to use private money to build its “NHS Neighbourhood Rebuild” programme.

This is a huge red flag — NHS trusts are still billions in debt from old PFI-style schemes. 💸

🔍 Digging into NHS PFI debt wasn’t easy — but we uncovered £21bn still owed. 💸

💡Did you know the NHS is about to pay £21bn+ to private companies? 💸

A staggering amount that could have gone straight into hospitals and front-line care — but instead, it’s lining the pockets of private firms.
