Come to think of it, I've also pulled the Texas-pizza-dinner chapter of "Bridges Burned" up on my phone at parties to remind myself how to do a split bolus. (Sorry this won't make sense to anyone with a working pancreas but like, trust -- her stories really are out there doing the Lord's work!)

Not to bring the mood down, but @anincompletelist.bsky.social wrote about Sugar Pixels in one of her diabetic Alex fics. I'm pretty sure they've saved my daughter's life more than once, and Sara is the only reason we've had them from day one. (I've yet to hear a dr even mention them.)
