Trump says he'll repeal Biden era CAFE standards. I'm not even sure how he can do this since CAFE standards are stipulated in law. Title 49 Subtitle B Chapter V Part 531 § 531.5 Can he do this via exec order? I thought he'd need to pass legislation.

Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.

The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.

About 40% of SNAP recipients are children. Around half of ALL children in the country are covered by Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

And the so-called “party of family values” gutted both programs by billions of dollars.

Doesn’t sound very pro-family to me.

The moves come after a $60 million lobbying blitz from the forever chemical industry.

On the last official day of #COP30 climate talks, countries are divided on whether to commit to phasing out fossil fuels. Vanuatu's minister for climate change says big polluters like Saudi Arabia are obstructing action despite "scientific clarity" on the need to transition to clean energy.
